Hot Foil Stamp
Hot foil stamping presses a heated die through a thin sheet of metallic foil, bonding your logo to the surface in a mirror-bright finish. Think of it as debossing with colour: the same crisp impression, finished in gold, silver or another foil shade.
Ideal for leather and PU notebooks, diaries, boxes and premium packaging.
How does hot foil stamping work?
- 1
Your logo is formed into a metal die and heated in the press.
- 2
A sheet of foil in your chosen colour is placed between the die and the product.
- 3
The press closes; heat and pressure bond the foil to the surface in the exact shape of your logo, leaving a metallic, lightly recessed mark.
Hot Foil Stamp questions, answered
What foil colours are available?
Gold and silver are the classics and suit most executive gifts; other foil shades are available depending on the product and run.
How is hot foil different from debossing?
The press action is the same, but hot foil adds a metallic layer inside the impression, while a deboss leaves the bare material tone-on-tone.
Will the foil rub off?
No. The foil is fused into the surface under heat and pressure rather than sitting on top, so it holds up to everyday handling.
